If he's from that far ahead, then the Jedi have gone extinct anyway, Kay.

[ He says this wearily, then shakes his head. ]

And it's not that simple. There's just no set answer for your question, but...

My very first Master, Qui-Gon Jinn said this to me before I even became a Padawan: Being a Jedi isn't an easy life. I didn't fully understand it back then, and I think I still only understand part of it. But part of being a Jedi is to set aside all your selfish desires. You have to make decisions, and not often easy ones. You have to trust in the Force and let it guide you.

[ At this, Anakin can't help but feel guilty. He's not always the perfect Jedi he possibly should be, but more often than not he tends to forget all about that. More often than not he lets his own selfishness take the lead. ]

[ Anakin simply shakes his head. ]

Being Force-sensitive alone doesn't make you a Jedi. Neither does it make you a Sith. There are plenty of species that refuse to have their Force-sensitive younglings trained as Jedi. Maybe you can learn to be a Force user through a different mentor. But that still doesn't make you a Jedi.

These rules you don't understand? They're part of actually being a Jedi. The Sith don't follow them, naturally. They have their own rules. And I assume a non-aligned Force user doesn't follow them either.

As for what the Force wants... Well.

[ Here, he smiles faintly. ]

I guess you need to experience it to truly understand.

I've never met a Force-sensitive droid, actually. So I guess not.

On the other hand I do possess a Force-sensitive rock.

I do. It was a gift from my mentor, who received it from his mentor before.

[ And it's one of his few, yet most valued possessions. ]

I guess that depends on how you define value.
