I mean, I think there's only like...two of them. But he's still very unforgettable.
Where does he come from, I do not know. I could ask Cassian, he's been around longer than I did and might have heard about his origins. As for what he's done...do you want to know about everything in chronological order or from bad to worse?
Just give me an overview, maybe? I've only heard about him and am trying to get a bit of a picture.
And there's always two Sith Lords. They work under what they call the Rule of Two. In my time it's been Darth Sidious and Darth Tyrannus. If this Vader is a new one, then I guess he replaced Dooku...?
Okay, if you are sure. [There will be regrets, Anakin.]
The 'Free Ryloth movement' was a resistance movement lead by the the Twi’leks on Ryloth. Vader not only killed the leaders of the movement but also the prisoners that were taken. That included women and children.
He aided the Empire in exploiting hundred of planets and races, stripping them of their resources. They blocked the food routes of the planets that were less cooperative, starving most of the population to death and turning thriving societies into wastelands. Lothal and Vulpter, the planet were I was built, are massively polluted and covered in waste and factories.
Even Vader's own tropes are scared of him, he is xenophobic and the endorser of a fanatical dictatorship. Oh, not to mention they apparently keep buildings Giant Death Rays weapons to wipe off planets in a matter of seconds.
The other Sith is the emperor himself, so yes. It's safe to assume Vader did that.
The Twi'lek had always been a race that value their freedom and never afraid to fight for what it's right. One of the most important Generals in the Rebellion is a Twi'lek, her name is Hera Syndulla. We wouldn't be what we are without her and her team.
Hm...yes, he's her father. Her mother was killed, though, during the resistance against the Empire.
That I don't know, it was long before I came to exist and most of the information about past times is controlled by the Empire. I only know what some people had shared with me, perhaps Cassian or Grievous might know. I know you don't trust them but it's worth a try.
If you don't mind, I have questions of my own. There's a blond man who arrived here a few days ago, his name is Luke Skywalker. Han told months ago that the man was Princess Leia's brother, and his brother in law. But he shares your last name...
[He could. There's no Jedi order here, no Masters.]
He doesn't strike me as the sort of person who's interested in that.
And no offense, but you are not yet so famous in this world. Now, If he went around telling people he was one of Grievous' sons...now that would turn heads.
[Do you like brutal honesty, Anakin? Because you get brutal honestly.]
It wouldn't, but now he's here. You might as well do something about it. Maybe talking to him is worth a try, if not to befriend him then to understand why does he exist. What do you have to lose? No one here would judge for it.
[Alas,Kay doesn't know these people. Otherwise he would be happy to gossip about them.]
And have some stranger try to tell me again what it means to be a Jedi?
[ Yes, he sounds mildly agitated by that. ]
I've been a Jedi for most of my live. I know what it means to be a Jedi. And I know how it differs from the tales that beings tell themselves across the galaxy!
If he's from that far ahead, then the Jedi have gone extinct anyway, Kay.
[ He says this wearily, then shakes his head. ]
And it's not that simple. There's just no set answer for your question, but...
My very first Master, Qui-Gon Jinn said this to me before I even became a Padawan: Being a Jedi isn't an easy life. I didn't fully understand it back then, and I think I still only understand part of it. But part of being a Jedi is to set aside all your selfish desires. You have to make decisions, and not often easy ones. You have to trust in the Force and let it guide you.
[ At this, Anakin can't help but feel guilty. He's not always the perfect Jedi he possibly should be, but more often than not he tends to forget all about that. More often than not he lets his own selfishness take the lead. ]
Your Jedi, perhaps but the Force just can't stop existing. New Force users could have appeared, no?
I see. I'm not Jedi and I mean no offense to your Master but if the Force can only be felt, because it doesn't speak or has a tangible form, who came up with all those rules for it? The Sith? The Jedi? Someone even more ancient? How it is possible to know what it really wants from you? Isn't it conceited to assume that things can not change when the Force is an energy that it's always doing that?
[Kay is a bit confused by the philosphy concerning the Jedi, not because he things it's bad, but because it seems to be lacking deep.]
Being Force-sensitive alone doesn't make you a Jedi. Neither does it make you a Sith. There are plenty of species that refuse to have their Force-sensitive younglings trained as Jedi. Maybe you can learn to be a Force user through a different mentor. But that still doesn't make you a Jedi.
These rules you don't understand? They're part of actually being a Jedi. The Sith don't follow them, naturally. They have their own rules. And I assume a non-aligned Force user doesn't follow them either.
As for what the Force wants... Well.
[ Here, he smiles faintly. ]
I guess you need to experience it to truly understand.
video
What can you tell me about him?
video
Nothing good. He's the Emperor's right hand and the doom of many planets and civilizations.
video
[ He could have figured that much without being told. ]
But where does he come from? And what exactly is it he's doing if he's that bad?
video
I mean, I think there's only like...two of them. But he's still very unforgettable.

[ Anakin repeats the name. ]
...reminds me of that Twi'lek Resistance we fought along with to rid the planet of the Separatists.
[ And it sounds as if Ryloth as well would be right back in trouble with the Republic gone.
Anakin falls silent during the rest. None of this sounds good. Far from it... This Sith Lord seems a lot worse than Dooku has ever been. ]
...do you know what happened to Dooku? Was he imprisoned by the end of the war?
video
[Kay shakes his head.]
I only know that he was killed, not imprisoned.
video
[ But he brushes that aside, drawn to more important details. ]
Dooku was killed? How? By whom?

[ He pauses there. ]
...I still believe he's fake. I don't have any children. I'm a Jedi, remember?
video
But we can grow to pass our programming. I know I did.
Assuming he told us a lie, what does the boy gain with it? Nothing as far as i can tell. In fact, it only gets him more in trouble.
video
But there are things he just... He can't just tell them! ]
It certainly gains him attention. For some that's all they strife for.
[ He's trying to hold on to that explanation. ]

Yes, I guess so. Droids can't be Force sensitive, can they? You need to be organic for that?

On the other hand I do possess a Force-sensitive rock.

...sorry. Did you say rock?
